Officers in Troy were called at around 11:30 p.m. Monday, July 11, with reports of a disturbance near 5th Avenue and 102nd Street.
When officers arrived, they found the victim inside a home suffering from a single gunshot wound to his stomach, Troy Police said.
He was taken to the hospital and treated for what was described as a non-life-threatening injury.
Police believe the victim got into an altercation with at least one suspect outside of the home before he was shot.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived and so far has not been found, police said.
